Samsung Galaxy W now available with Three on a £22 a month contract

Mobile phone network Three has taken stock of the midrange Android Samsung Galaxy W phone, only without the higher quality Galaxy S II screen and on price plans starting at £22 a month.

The Samsung Galaxy W was launched at the end of August, alongside the Qwerty keyboard-based Galaxy M Pro and Y Pro with a new naming convention for the device range, where the letter following the word Galaxy relates to a new category.

Samsung’s Galaxy W arrives with a 3.7-inch touchscreen, minus the Super AMOLED display and with a low costing Super LCD variant instead, plus a fast 1.4GHz processor and a 5 megapixel camera, with the Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 OS.

Three is carrying the Galaxy W on the Text 100 contract, with 100 minutes, a 5,000 text message allowance and a 500MB data bundle for £22 a month or £32 a month on the One Plan with 2,000 minutes, a 5,000 text message bundle and the truly unlimited mobile broadband package.

One Mobile Ring has already published a hands-on walkthrough of the Samsung Galaxy W here and an Initial Thoughts review of the handset here.
