Online phone retailer E2Save has dropped the price of the recently announed HTC Sensation XE on a two year contract, with a total cost of ownership of £252.
In effect you just pay £10.50 per month on a two year period (opens in new tab) without interest for a phone that was launched only last month and which comes with the popular red-coloured Beats Audio earphones.
At that price, the Sensation XE is the best value top-end smartphone on the market, costing roughly HALF what the iPhone 4S retails for.
The only two downsides (if we may call them so) are that it appears to be an O2-locked phone (albeit with 50 minutes and 250 texts) and that it may well be a misprice.
The Sensation XE is the followup to the Sensation and comes with a black and red colour scheme. HTC has opted for an aluminium unibody construction to make the phone "feel premium".
It is poweered by a dual core, Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, packs 768MB RAM, 4GB onboard storage, an eight-megapixel rear camera with full HD video, a front facing one, DLNA compatibility, Beats Audio, a 1730mAh battery, a 4.3-inch 540x960 pixel screen and runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with HTC Sense UI.
