Imation recently revealed a scalable storage portfolio of data protection and data archive products designed to help data-intensive, compliance-driven small to medium-sized businesses retain, retrieve and recover data.
The scalable storage portfolio features InfiniVault and DataGuard multi-tiered data archive and data protection appliances as well as the company’s existing RDX removable hard disk storage and Linear Tape-Open (LTO) technologies.
Four models of the InfiniVault data archive are InfiniVault 5, 35, 70 and DICOM to offer various sizes and meet industry requirements.
InfiniVault data archive appliances are available in U.S. at authorised Imation resellers and dealers
DataGuard protection features disaster-tolerant backup appliances that use hard drives and RDX drives to give multilayer data protection targets within the existing backup infrastructures.
DataGuard has been designed in tower and rack models that use RDX removable hard drives to keep backups and to seed the cloud infrastructure.
To be made available in early 2012, DataGuard has three models: T5R, R4 and R16.
To expand its data storage, security, archiving and protection position, Imation is also making technology investments which include the acquisitions of MXI Security, IronKey’s secure hardware business, assets of ProStor System in 2011 and the InfiniVault product line.
