Dick Costolo, the chief executive officer of the micro blogging platform Twitter disclosed some of the action plans his company has set for the next 5 years. Costolo made the revelation at the Web 2.0 Summit held in San Francisco last night.
The CEO announced that the company is trying hard to offer its users a whole new different experience than what its rivals Facebook and Google+ are trying to offer.
Costolo also bragged how the total number of tweets per day by its users all around the globe has reached the 250 million - many times more than what it was towards the beginning of the year at near about 100 million tweets per day.
It is important to note here that it took the company over three years before it had delivered the 1 billionth tweet.
“We have lofty ambitions. We want to be part of the fabric over every communication in the world, and we think we can reach every person on the planet," Costolo said during the event, according to a c|net report.
The CEO also added by saying: “Twitter will introduce ads that resonate with what Twitter users are used to."
