The recently unveiled HTC Titan smartphone, which comes with Windows Phone 7.5, is now available on preorder for a mere £30.64 per month on an 18-month contract from T-Mobile (via Buymobilephone.net).
That's a total cost of ownership of around £551, not bad given that the handset itself costs around £499. The contract includes 600 minutes, 500 texts, 500MB data plus unlimited email and web access.
The phone comes with a massive 4.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a single core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 1.5GHz (the same as the HTC Flyer), an eight-megapixel camera with F2.2 lens, BSI sensor and 720p movie mode, a front facing 1.3-megapixel camera, 16GB onboard storage but only 512MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and a weight of only 170g.
The phone also comes with Microsoft Office Mobile, Xbox Live, HTC Watch as well as Zune compatibility.
Note that the phone doesn't take a microSD card as one might expect and, the phone is a minor improvement from the former big Windows Phone 7 handset from HTC, the HD7, which is currently being cleared out by online retailers.
We're slightly surprised that HTC didn't go for something bolder, but then Windows Phone hardware specifications are rigorously controlled by Microsoft.
