ViaSat UK has launched a range of USB flash drives that come with high level encryption for government and military use.
The Eclypt Nano range of USB flash drives, which has been certified by the UK Communications-Electronics Security Group (CESG), comes with 256-bit AES encryption and supports password and keystone authentication.
The USB drive will be highly useful for public sector, government and military organisations which need to store and transfer highly sensitive data, pertaining to the organisation or customers.
“Now government bodies can balance the strongest security as certified by CESG with the portability and practicality of a USB drive, combined with a rugged design," said ViaSat’s chief executive Chris McIntosh reports Hexus (opens in new tab).
"As a result, the UK can have peace of mind that sensitive data can be protected to the appropriate level regardless of where it is, what it is being used for and by whom it is being used." he added.
The Eclypt Nano device is available for public and commercial use as well, with the 2GB version being offered for £99. The USB drive, which is also available in 4GB and 8GB versions, uses ViaSat's Orion management software for device management.
