Sony to unleash 3D PlayStation telly for Xmas

Sony is ready to launch a big 3D telly designed to bring 3D wizardry to its Playstation 3 console.

According to the official Playstation blog, the 24-inch display will begin shipping to US shops and to customers that have already pre-ordered the device on November 13. The telly will cost $499.99, including one pair of 3D Glasses, MotorStorm Apocalypse Blu-ray game, and an HDMI cable. All you need to do is hook up your PS3 system and you’re ready to go. The telly is expected to ship in the UK, although the November date is as yet unconfirmed

Sony said the display will have two HDMI 1.4 inputs, a component cable input and stereo headphone output. The monitor also has support for Edge LED backlighting and Sony's new SimuView feature, which allows two 3D-glasses-wearing gamers to see a full-screen view of the action, as opposed to a split-screen view.
