Sony Demoes PS Vita At Web 2.0 Summit 2011 [Video]

Sony held a short demonstration of its soon to be announced gaming console, the PS Vita, with a quick demo of the game Uncharter 3 at the Web Summit 2.0 2011 in San Francisco.

ITProPortal's own Andy Evans sent us the video below. Uncharted 3 uses both the traditional analogue controllers as well as the capacitive touchscreen and the touch sensitive areas at the back of the gaming device.

The PS Vita has a massive 5-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen, a quad-core ARM Cortex A9 MPCore processor with a quad-core SGX543MP4+ GPU, 512MB RAM (that's twice the PS3), 128MB VRAM, two cameras and 3G.

The console will come with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS (in the 3G model), a PS Vita Card slot, a multi-use connector and up to five hours of gameplay. The cheaper model will cost £229 while the more expensive one will retail for £279.

Desire worked at ITProPortal right at the beginning and was instrumental in turning it into the leading publication we all know and love today. He then moved on to be the Editor of TechRadarPro - a position he still holds - and has recently been reunited with ITProPortal since Future Publishing's acquisition of Net Communities.
