Internet Porn Affects Real Life Sex Performance Claims Research

If we are to believe the findings of a new research, men who are Internet porn addicts are more likely to be hopeless in the bedroom with real women. And worse even, the study claims that this is precisely what, today's younger generations are suffering from.

According to the study published in Psychology Today- a leading U.S journal, Internet porn eventually desensitises addicts to such as extent that their bodies seem to betray them when it comes to regular sex with real women.

This alarming trend is more visible in men in their 20s, claimed the Psychology Today report. The report, dubbed 'Porn-Induced Sexual Dysfunction is a Growing Problem', the primary reason behind young people losing their libido 30 years before time is an inevitable outcome of the over stimulation of dopamine. Dopamine can be termed as the neurotransmitter in the human body, responsible for making it react to sexual satisfaction.

'Erotic words, pictures, and videos have been around a long while, but the Internet makes possible a never-ending stream of dopamine spikes,' Marnia Robinson, the author of the report, said in a statement, Daily Mail (opens in new tab) reports.

'In some porn users, the response to dopamine is dropping so low that they can't achieve an erection without constant hits of dopamine via the internet," added the author.
