Sony recently announced that it plans to bring the PlayStation Suite to other Android-based devices in the future.
The company launched the PS Suite for its Sony Ericsson Xperia Play PlayStation branded Android-based smartphones to allow users to play PS One games on their mobile devices.
Sony recently extended the PS Suite to its Sony Tablet S and Tablet P devices said that the Android eco-system was big enough to offer the PS Suite to more Android based devices.
“This isn't an ecosystem where we want to keep everything within the Sony family. This is not just for Sony devices," said Sony Computer Entertainment chairman, Kazuo Hirai.
“That's the beauty of Android. We're in discussions with non-Sony companies to bring them on board. We'll make those announcements when it's time to go public with it. This is not just for Sony devices." he added.
The company also announced its plans to launch a SDK for the PlayStation Suite that will allow developers to develop games that work across all PS devices including the PlayStation 3, Sony Android smartphones and tablets and the newly announced PS Vita hand-held gaming device.
