Anonymous Vows to Take Down Fox News Site, Announces ‘Operation Fox Hunt’

Hacker group Anonymous has vowed to annihilate the Fox News website because of its ‘unfair' coverage of the Occupy Wall Street protests.

In a video warning, an Anonymous member claimed that the group was planning to attack the website of the news channel because of its attack on the Wall Street protesters and the entire movement in general.

The group is angry because Fox News used words like ‘filthy, disgusting and dirty' to describe the Wall Street protesters.

"Fox is now the target of Anonymous because of their continued propaganda against the Occupations. They use words such as filthy, disgusting and dirty to describe the protesters. Since they will not stop belittling the occupiers, we will simply shut them down", the group said in the video.

November 5th has been selected as the day when Anonymous will launch a massive attack on the Fox News website and shut it down, called Operation Fox Hunt. "Fox News, your time has come . . . Operation Fox Hunt. November 5th. May the hunt begin," the group added.

Apart from bringing down the Fox News website, the group has also announced that it it will start a propaganda campaign of its own to make Fox News realise what it felt be chastised by others.
