Anonymous Threatens Mexican Drug Cartels, Posts Video

In a recent turn of events, an online video has been published in Spanish and English language by a self-proclaimed member of Anonymous Veracruz, Mexico, accusing Los Zetas, who is one of the most powerful drug cartels in the Mexico, of kidnapping and holding hostage a male unnamed Anonymous member.

In the early October this video address was published which has been made using a text-to-speech program.

In the video there is footage of a man in Guy Fawkes mask who warned that if the kidnapped person is not freed or even if he is anyways harmed the hacktivist group will publish identifying information about the businesses of cartels and also of the associates.

The video has been translated by Houston Chronicle (opens in new tab) that says "You made a huge mistake by taking one of us. Release him. And, if anything happens to him, you (expletive) will always remember this upcoming November 5th."

The kidnapping was made from Veracruz, Mexico, when the member was doing Paperstorm which refers to Anonymous Operation Paperstorm, an event to encourage their members globally to go out on street with paper flyers in their respective cities and this event was coordinated online on December last year.
