Microsoft Introduces Windows Phone Xbox Companion App

According to various reports Microsoft Corporation has introduced an application called Xbox Companion. This new app will help in controlling the Xbox directly from the mobile phone of the customer.

With this app interacting with various games from the phone as well as finding videos and other audio content which the customer will desire to watch through the Microsoft Corp's Xbox 360 gaming console will be easy and simple. The app was revealed during the recent Nokia World 2011 conference, which also saw the launch of Nokia's first Window Phone Mango based handsets - the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710.

The users will enjoy the comfort of transferring information using the phone to Xbox 360 console and also back to the phone. Users will also be able to keep themselves updated with latest updates about the upcoming Kinect games. The app will reportedly work on Windows 7 platform as well.

According to Microsoft Phone Blog the app will allow users to access Xbox LIVE marketplace, facility to learn more about what the user is playing, watching or listening and also control and play from the phone.
