Motorola rolls out new version of the Android tablet operating system to Xoom owners

Newly acquired Google company Motorola Mobility has made public that their Xoom tablet device is now able to receive the Android ‘Honeycomb’ 3.2 update, within Europe.

Motorola Mobility has posted a message to their Motorola Europe Facebook account, which states: ‘A new software update is now being rolled out for Motorola XOOM *with Wi-Fi* owners in Europe’.

The posting goes on to mention – ‘The update will provide a number of new features and several performance improvements and will also update your Motorola XOOM with Wi-Fi to Honeycomb 3.2. For more information visit’

This software update for WIFI Xoom owners are for those who are currently using software versions 6.4.20 and, where the update brings the tablet up to version 6.6.23.

There are new features and performance improvements in moving from Google ‘Honeycomb’ 3.1 to version 3.2, with an improved compatibility mode for switching to double pixel mode; rotation acceleration for faster updating when a tablet is rotated; automatic docking support; a full version of QuickOffice; Motoprint for wireless printing and enhanced VPN support with an added Citrix client.
