Gmail Gets a New Look

Users of Gmail would finally be able to experience an all new Gmail interface with some great features and better looks.

Google accidentally revealed the new-look of Gmail about a couple of weeks back which resembled Facebook's look in many ways.

On Tuesday, on the official blog post (opens in new tab) of Gmail, the changes were declared. The new Gmail will give the users more opportunity to control the look of the email service.

The user will now be enjoying facilities like dragging of sidebars around as per the users preference of size and width, also the user can make a choice from different types of high-resolution pictures for the background, decide the density of mails in the web page from "Comfortable", "Cozy" and "Compact" options.

The new search function allows users to access Advanced Search option on the search bar itself. The user can also enjoy condensed conversations as well as add profile picture.

The sneak peek of the new Gmail that started from July showed limited features as compared to the actual new Gmail.

Google's user experience designer, Jason Cornwell, said, "If you like what you see, over the next few days you'll be able to switch to the new look by clicking on Switch to the new look in the bottom-right of Gmail."
