Stage three of the fastest rollout of an iPhone yet is starting on Friday, when iPhone 4S will be available for pre-order in Asia-Pacific (Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Korea), and continue its European expansion (Poland, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Romania).
The option of advance ordering the iPhone 4S will not be available for users from Albania, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malta, Montenegro and Panama. For the rest of the stage 3 countries iPhone 4S can be ordered from Apple's online store, retail stores and select authorised resellers. However, from 11th November, Apple fanboys from all the new markets will be able to hold their shiny new iPhone 4S.
With the 22 markets added last Friday (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland), iPhone 4S is available now in 29 countries.
Analysts have pointed out that this aggressive expansion, geared by the fastest rollout ever for an iPhone, is similar to the strategy deployed at the launch of the iPad 2. Meanwhile, rival Samsung is fighting to put the brakes on this global iPhone 4S roll out, with legal battles over patent infringement in courts in various countries.
