AMD Unveils High-end FirePro V4900 Graphics Card

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. recently unveiled its FirePro V4900 that will ensure superior performance for Digital Content Creation (DCC) and also Computer Aided Design (CAD) professionals. All these facilities will be offered by AMD at an entry-level price.

AMD has incorporated its most advanced and latest graphics technology which includes AMD eyefinity, to ensure that the AMD FirePro V4900 enhances performance of apps and drives considerably in workplaces.

As a matter of fact, this latest AMD product enhances the performance of various offerings that are competitive in some CAD and DSS application tests by double fold.

Sandeep Gupte, general manager of Professional Graphics, AMD, said (opens in new tab), "The AMD FirePro V4900 leverages AMD's most advanced graphics technology, which not only enhances user experience and boosts performance of professional applications, but also features AMD Eyefinity multi-display technology.....".

AMD's FirePro V4900 comes with a standard AMD Turks GPU, thus, it supports AMD's technology of multi-display Eyefinity and also two Displayport 1.2 and finally one single DVI dual-link outputs, capable of supporting maximum six displays.

AMD has signed up HP, Fujitsu and Dell to offer the FirePro V4900 as a part of workstations.
