Apple Unphased by Success of Amazon’s Kindle Fire

Recently, Apple commented that the launch of Amazon Kindle Fire will be a threat for Android. Till date, only Android tablets manufactured by Samsung Electronics have been challenging Apple iPad's dominant position in the tablet market. However, with the launch of Amazon's Kindle Fire tablet powered by Android the market scenario is expected to change.

Kindle Fire, scheduled to be launched in 15th November, is already receiving 50,000 units of pre-orders every day. Till date it is the cheapest Android tablet to be launched which can be purchased for $200.

In fact, this is the reason why Kindle Fire is in demand even before its release, Daily Tech reported.

Even though Kindle Fire has been seen as a challenge but top executives of Apple seem unaffected by the success of Kindle Fire, commented Ben Reitzes, an analyst at Barclays.

Reitzes' recent meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook and CFO Peter Oppenheimer revealed that Apple is pleased with the success of Amazon's yet-to-be released product which will strengthen their market position by damaging the Android market.
