Cloud based storage services provider Carbonite has announced that it has made enhancements to its back-up services for small and home office set-ups.
The company revealed two new offerings: Carbonite HomePlus and HomePremier, which have been designed to bring more backup options and flexibility to customers.
Some of the new features that come with the two new plans include the ability to make online backups of external hard drives. Carbonite also introduced bare metal back-ups that allows users to create ‘mirror' image of their hard drives and store it locally.
The feature is capable of replicating the entire operating system environment including the operating system, applications and settings, which can be restore in a few hours in the event of a full system crash.
Carbonite also introduced a new service for HomePremier users, which would allow them to have a recovery disk shipped to them. The service is best suited with customers with large data and those who don't have a reliable internet connection.
"Carbonite is committed to providing backup solutions that enable our customers to easily back up what they want to protect. We're happy to introduce these new service options to our Home and Home Office users so they can choose the backup plan that best meets their needs," said David Friend, Chairman and CEO of Carbonite.
