Motorola Announces Facebook Phone Called Motokey

Motorola has listed a new slimline Qwerty keyboard mobile phone called the Motokey Social, which has a dedicated Facebook button, on its Canadian website.

Our sister mobile phone site OneMobileRing (opens in new tab) has noted that the Motorola Motokey Social has one of those one touch access keys to Facebook - in much the same was as the HTC Salsa and Cha Cha, INQ mobiles and the Vodafone 555.

The Motokey Social FB button offers access to the FB account, with sharing of pictures and links, along with keeping in touch with friends from just the single button.

In terms of specifications, the handset is only 9.98mm thin and will ship with a 2.4-inch QVGA 320×240 TFT LCD display, a 3 megapixel camera, 64MB of RAM and 50MB of memory and support for microSD cards.

Screenshots of the mobile phone highlight the home screen has quick access to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Gmail and Google Search - from a six panel start screen.

Motorola has yet to confirm whether the phone will be available in the UK and or made mention of the price. The Vodafone 555 costs under £50 which means that Motokey Social might have a tough time over here.
