McAfee has launched a range of updated software that focus on cloud based security, refined virtual machine support and data loss prevention in the cloud.
McAfee on Monday, stated that version 9.2 of its Data Loss Prevention software provides virtual machine support that lets you create inventory as well as categorise data across various servers and also file shares, reported ZDNet (opens in new tab).
In the same statement McAfee mentioned that, the threat of information loss worries the business houses while considering a move to cloud services. On cloud services, sensitive data are at a risk of being stolen or the employees might compromise information inadvertently or they might be exposed via legal discovery.
The security company commented, "Businesses frequently cite the potential for data loss as the number one reason for holding back on the implementation of cloud computing solutions".
On its latest additions, McAfee said that its Intel Expressway Cloud Access 360 will be supporting various apps by utilising Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), which is an open authentication standard.
Whereas, Email Gateway version 7.0 will be supporting push and pull encryption as well as decryption for the employees of an organization to check messages on mobiles and McAfee SaaS Email Protection prevention of data loss, will provide file fingerprinting.
