Check Point Introduces ZoneAlarm Free Firewall 2012

Check Point introduced the new ZoneAlarm Free Firewall 2012, the latest version of the popular firewall tool.

The new software, capable of working with any existing anti-virus software, has been designed to block hacker intrusions and keep viruses and spy-ware at bay.

The company said the new ZoneAlarm Free Firewall 2012 features an intuitive user interface, which is easy to use and configure. The tool is capable of running silently in the background and monitor all in coming and out going traffic, acording to a report (opens in new tab) in PC Mag.

Check Point said the tool is capable of making the system invisible to hackers and compliments the functionality of existing anti-virus software.

"More than 200 million people today use free antivirus software, but they lack a strong two-way firewall, leaving their PCs vulnerable to online attacks," said Bari Abdul, vice president of consumer sales at Check Point Software Technologies.

"Antivirus alone is not enough. It misses almost 30% of viruses, and it does not provide any protection against hackers. At a minimum, consumers need to strengthen their security by adding a strong, two-way firewall on top of their antivirus software. ZoneAlarm is offering an effective solution," he added.
