An interactive Tech City map has been unveiled by the Prime Minister of UK - David Cameron that reveals more than 600 technology firms located in East London. The map depicts growth and expansion of "silicon roundabout" of Old Street. Till last year the area had around 200 tech firms.
UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, stated, "One year ago we made a major commitment to helping the tech cluster in East London grow..........As a government, we are determined to continue doing everything we can to help support and accelerate this growth." reported BBC.
Cameron also added, "The successful growth we see today is thanks to the talented, creative entrepreneurs........"
The Prime Minister's office pointed out a rise of 225 percent in the research and development "tax credit" which has been given to small as well as medium sized enterprises.
Also, PM office is expecting that the growth of the cluster will spread further to cover Olympic Park, which is London's new district located to the east.
A government statement addressed this act as an effort to support the success of the area. But some businesses showed their displeasure by saying that they are not looking for any such attention.
