Enterprise software maker Oracle has dished out the Oracle Communications Policy Controller which has been designed to provide communication services providers more control over their network.
The company said that the tool would let service providers deal with the rising demand for network data and provide a great experience to customers reports Financial.
The existing tools allow service providers deliver a range of application and other media services like video streaming but they don't help them cope with the data usage explosion which ultimately erodes their profit margins.
The Oracle Communications Policy Controller, which is being offered under the Oracle Communications Service Delivery product family, has been designed to help communication service providers to restrain customers and allocate the bandwidth based on their network subscriptions. In short, the tool helps share the customers' data usage so that the companies don't feel the burden that comes with network data consumption.
"Oracle Communications Service Controller offers pre-built, out-of-the-box service interaction and mediation capabilities to bring order to complex networks and integrate disparate technologies - helping service providers reduce operating costs and bring new services to market quickly and cost effectively," said Oracle Communications vice president of products Liam Maxwell.
