HTC May Release Tegra 3, Android-Based Tablet in Early 2012

According to rumour, HTC is working hard to launch a quad-code Android tablet by February, 2012. This tablet will be accompanied by a minimum of two Android smartphones.

According to reports published in China's Commercial Times, this HTC tablet will have NVIDIA's latest Tegra 3 processor. The tablet will make its debut at the Mobile World Congress 2012. The same publication states that this may be the only Android from HTC to be released in 2012.

HTC's focus is to launch their tablet sooner than other mobile giants with Windows 8, who expect to launch their tablets somewhere in the third quarter.

Rumours relating to HTC and Tegra 3 are fairly regular. For example, HTC Edge and HTC Ville are rumoured to be part of HTC's Mobile World Congress, 2012 to be held at Barcelona, Spain.

But there are still a few months to go and also there is a lot of room for even more news and rumours to surface. Recently, HTC's Cher Wang expressed optimism over the company's performance in the future. Perhaps these new smartphones may be the ticket to that.
