iPhone 4S Rival Alert : Motorola Razr Now Available In UK

The new Motorola Razr smartphone is now available in the UK from Amazon on SIM Free (for £449 (opens in new tab)) and from a number of other online retailers on monthly contracts starting from £31 (opens in new tab).

The handset, which was released last month, is one of the thinnest on the market and carries the pedigree of one of the most popular phone families ever.

Running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, the handset is a mere 7.1mm thick and weighs only 127g. Motorola chose super light but resistant laser-cut Kevlar fiber for the smartphone's body, as well as Corning Gorilla glass to protect the screen.

The rest of the specifications are up there with the best on the market. There's a dual core chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, up to 32GB microSD card, an eight megapixel rear camera with full HD recording as well as a front-facing one, Wi-Fi, microUSB and micro HDMI, DLNA, and a 1700mAh battery that can power the phone for more than four hours.

Like its predecessor, the Motorola Atrix, it comes with a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen and can plug into a Lapdock that converts it into a netbook, though it lacks the fingerprint reader.
