In order to help firms in adopting more flexible as well as effective practices of working, mobile phone carrier O2 has launched new service packages that include security, consultancy as well as mobile device management.
The name of this package is "Joined Up People" and it will be offering the above three services on top of the operator's core telecommunications products. O2 will also be providing technical professional services along with training to extend help to firms so that they can adopt various new practices via new suite of services.
Joined Up People package will witness O2 tie up with their partners to give specific services such as secure connectivity and filtering from Asavie enabling rapid and secure access to company data, applications and files, Mobile device management from Fiberlink enabling automatic discovery of all devices in an organisation, enforcement of security, device policy and remote lock down of all common smartphones and tablets from a cloud based portal and behind the firewall device management covering all smartphone and tablet operating systems and access to a knowledge base of 6500 common faults and fixes from Zenprise reported Mobile News. The package will also include security and device management services by O2 Unify.
"Flexible transition funds" another new feature is introduced by O2 with the Joined Up People package. This feature will be replacing hardware as well as airtime credits that are given to firms as upfront payment.
