The latest flagship smartphone from Samsung, Galaxy S II will have the latest version of Android OS 4.0 or the Ice-Cream Sandwich.
The Korean electronic giant made this declaration through a post on their (https://twitter.com/#!/samsunguk/status/136838488954912768) Twitter account, which reads as, "Hi, good news - the Galaxy S II will be receiving ICS, but there are no dates confirmed as yet. We will keep you posted".
The latest version of of the Google's Android OS has lots to look forward to, for example a latest launcher and also app drawer, better widgets, overhauled notification bar and improved voice integration.
Before Samsung made this disclosure HTC few days back announced that Ice Cream Sandwich will be available with many HTC smartphones to be launched in early next year, reported (http://mashable.com/2011/11/07/ice-cream-sandwich-htc/) Mashable.
In fact, Ice Cream Sandwich will be available with Motorola Droid Razr also which is be launched in early 2012.
Even though Samsung did confirm about the operating system but they have not yet disclosed the date of release of the update. Now, as it has been confirmed that the new Samsung Galaxy S II will have Android 4.0, all attention will be focused on other Samsung smartphone and tablets
