SwiftKey updated

Popular text entry app creator TouchType has updated their SwiftKey X and SwiftKey Tablet X Android keyboard applications, with more language support and improvements seen around speed.

SwiftKey is an app for Android smartphones that has been designed to speed up text entry by not only guessing the remaining letters in a word but also predicting the user's next word.

TouchType has now pushed out an update for the SwiftKey X and SwiftKey Tablet X apps, where their developers have been working to make the Fluency engine faster and more efficient.

This engine is the technology behind SwiftKey’s predictions, where the new software should take up less memory on the phone and get the best predictions and corrections even quicker.

There is also enhanced multi-touch framework in this release, which makes it easier for rapid typists to type even faster.

The update now adds Arabic and Hebrew to the list of supported languages, bringing the total to 35 where you can enable up to three languages at once and switch seamlessly between different layouts (e.g. English and Greek) simply by sliding the spacebar.

For the first time, TouchType has full language localisation for Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese too.
