Motorola Defy Plus mobile phone has a special edition made for JCB

Newly acquired Google company Motorola Mobility has had a special edition produced of their tough Defy Plus handset, for the makers of renowned building equipment – JCB.

On-line mobile phone retailer Clove (opens in new tab) has made public this news in a blog (opens in new tab) post to their website.

The company has noted that from early December a slightly different version of the Motorola Defy plus will be available, in the JCB Edition.

Clove has stated the Motorola Defy Plus JCB version contains: ‘[a] 24 month warranty, as opposed to the standard 12 month Motorola warranty. Exclusive JCB branded skin with shock absorption, designed specifically for the DEFY, Exclusive JCB application which includes 6 tools ( Therodolite, Spirit Level, Torch and Decibel Reader) and a B&Q store locator’.

JCB has had a range of mobile phones for some time, but the Defy plus JCB edition is the first one to be a smartphone as all the others have just been toughened versions of standard phones.

Somin has made them in the past for JCB and more recently, Data select – which One Mobile Ring has reviewed here.
