On Monday, Spotify sent invitations for a press event to be held on 30th November where the company will announce details on a "new direction" for their music service.
The invite does not include much information or detail about the event and teases by adding "What's Next for Spotify?" The special guest for the evening will be Spotify CEO and founder Daniel Ek.
On being asked for more information, a spokeswoman of the company said, "At Spotify, we continually strive to innovate and deliver exciting new experiences for our users."
"In New York on November 30th, we are holding our first press conference to unveil the latest major development from Spotify - and a new direction for the company." she added, reported by PC Magazine (opens in new tab).
Few days ago Google Music has been launched that has free, cloud-based music storage facility as well as an MP3 store inside the Android Market. In fact, Apple also recently launched iTunes Match which basically lets users store entire music library on iCloud and can access them from any iOS device as well as computer.
Keeping all this in mind All Things D (opens in new tab) predicted that Spotify might also be revealing their own MP3 store which is currently available for European users.
