Craving An iPad 2? Get A £395 64GB iPad 3G Tablet Instead

PC World has lined up another cracking deal for those looking for a tablet that combines both 3G capabilities and ample storage space.

This first generation Apple iPad tablet comes with a whopping 64GB onboard storage and 3G capabilities, all for just £394.60 including delivery, down from £699.

That is cheaper (opens in new tab) than the cheapest iPad 2 on the market (which starts at £399), whilst the equivalent iPad 2 costs a staggering £659.

You will however miss out on that faster A5 processor, the additional 256MB RAM, the slimmer waistline, the smart cover and the cameras that the iPad 2 brings with it.

But the iPad now also comes with iOS5 - and other improvements like iMessage, Newsstand, Reminders, PC Free capabilities and you still have the 1024x768 pixel IPS multitouch screen display with oleophobic coating.

PC World also sells the 16GB 3G version of the iPad for £349, a saving of £180 compared to its original selling price. The next cheapest tablet with 3G connectivity is the Sony S1 which comes with 16GB storage, Android 3.1 Honeycomb, a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and two cameras for £450.
