New Nokia Maps arrive for Symbian run mobile phones

Finnish mobile phone maker’s Nokia has unveiled a new version of their mapping software for Symbian devices, with easy access to common features and live traffic redirection.

This new release of Nokia Maps for Symbian has had a redesign to focus around making it easier to access favourite features.

The Nokia Maps v3.08 now has four shortcuts on the Symbian mobile phone screen, in the Maps, Drive, Check in and Guides.

These can all be added in widget form too, to various screens by just selecting ‘add widget’ > ‘map apps’.

This means that it’s now faster to start the apps you need, or at the very least aspects of the Nokia maps.

These are the likes of driving a car with the Nokia free voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation, with live traffic updates or exploring surrounding areas around current locations – all from a single tap of the screen.

Also on-board is new live traffic rerouting in Nokia Maps v3.08, for those who commute every day and want to avoid traffic jams.

The latest Nokia maps is now available for Symbian Anna or Belle run handsets, from the Nokia Store – whilst being pushed out to the Nokia suite or the software update app.
