Samsung's Google TV a No-Show at CES 2012

Samsung has announced that the company has no plans of revealing its new Google TV offering at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2012.

The company recently revealed it is developing a TV incorporated with Google's struggling Google TV platform to give it a boost.

Samsung was rumoured to be unveiling the new Google TV series at CES in January next year, but has now clarified that no such launch would take place at the highly awaited trade show.

The company did say that it will release the launch date during the trade show, however, Tech Radar reports.

"The product will be revealed next year for sure but not at the CES in January, although we would probably be able to comment on the release date in Las Vegas," said Boo-Keun, head of Samsung's TV division.

Meanwhile, Samsung rivals LG and Sony are also developing their own TVs which have built-in Google TV so Samsung should try to expedite the launch date to gain advantage in the marketplace. The next few months will be interesting to watch as these companies all try to move ahead with this latest product.
