Today Google declared that Google Catalogs will now be available for the Android based tablets. The Catalogs app was initially launched as iPad app in the month of August.
The launch of this application was a matter of surprise and delight due to the list of very impressive partners which included Bare Necessities, Bloomingdales, Urban Outfitters, Williams-Sonoma, Athleta, Macy's, Brooks Brothers, Sephora and Bare Escentuals.
Business Product Manager on the Google Catalogs team, Abigail Holtz, said, "With rich product images, videos, and the ability to curate your own personal collages to share with friends, Google Catalogs makes browsing your favourite mail order catalogs easy, fun and interactive", reported WebProNews.
Holtz also disclosed that the Catalogs for Android will be featuring over 125 brands like Nordstrom, Nike, Williams-Sonoma, and also Sephora and at present there are more than 400 issues of digital catalogs across various categories like apparels of men and women, gifts, toys, gadgets, jewellery, gourmets, sports items and so on and so forth.
Besides, with this new application the users will be able to purchase from the app itself making the shopping experience a bit greener.
The latest Google app can be downloaded from Android market and the minimum requirement of this app is Android 3.1.
