Hewlett Packard will be showcasing its entire portfolio of web-connected printers and printing solutions at the Autodesk University 2011 show.
According to the company, planned demonstrations of its HP Z Workstations along with the HP Designjet ePrinters, designed to connect to the web, should entice attendees. HP also plans to showcase the HP ePrint & Share mobile app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The app allows users to share and print their work over the cloud from anywhere. The app is particularly useful for on-field business executives and architecture, engineering and construction executives.
The company revealed that registrations for the app had tripled since its launch, as reported (opens in new tab) by WhatTheyThink?
HP, along with Autodesk, also plans to demonstrate the company's web connected printing solutions on the Autodesk AutoCAD WS.
"Professionals in the Autodesk community are always on the go, traveling between the office and the job site with a need to access, print and share their large-format designs along the way," said Santiago Morera, vice president and general manager, Large Format Printing, HP.
"At Autodesk University, we will show how HP has responded to this need with the HP ePrint & Share mobile application and by working with Autodesk to provide remote printing capabilities to their more than three million AutoCAD WS users," he added.
