GamePro owner IDG Games, recently, declared that they are shutting down the magazine in the coming month. The very popular 1990s magazine will also shut down its website in next five days. After releasing another issue of the quarterly, the hugely successful gaming magazine will bid adieu.
In 1989, this magazine started and went online in 1996 reported Industry Gamers. In recent years, even though the magazine went through a couple of changes, it struggled in the market. In the month of July this year the most recent change was done in the form of making it a quarterly magazine from a monthly publication.
From 5th December the website will no longer exist and it will redirect the users to the website of PC World, reported ARS Technica.
According to reports, few employees will be shown the exit door. IDG stated that game news as well as reviews will find its place in slate of content of PC World.
The company has put up a banner on the top of the GamePro.com website stating that they are thankful to their readers for, "Loyalty, support, and participation in the GamePro.com community."
