Electronic Arts introduced its Fifa 12 video game exclusively on Sony Ericsson Xperia Play smartphone.
Sony Ericsson said in a blog post that users will be able to download the video game on their PlayStation certified device starting December 1. The game is available as a free download for Xperia Play users.
The game, optimised for the phone's game pad, will be available for free until early 2012 as part of a promotional campaign for the smartphone.
Fifa 12 joins other EC titles available for free for the smartphone including Battlefield and Need for Speed. The company also said it plans to make the game available on other Sony Ericsson Android based smartphones including Xperia arc S, Xperia arc, Xperia ray, Xperia neo and Xperia pro.
"With FIFA 12, fans of football can expect improved gameplay depth, authentic commentaries, updated teams from the world's top leagues, and all new replay systems and stadium designs to enhance the FIFA experience," said the company in a statement.
The company has remained mum about sales figure for the PlayStation certified device, however, its sales are expected to pick up once Sony introduces some more PlayStation titles for the device.
