T-Mobile Giving Away £20 Worth Of Apps With Android Handsets

T-Mobile has quietly rolled out a free scheme called Appy Christmas where existing T-mobile customers will be able to get up to £20 worth of Android apps until the 24th of December.

Users will be able to choose up to seven deals from a selection of apps including the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Doodle Jump.

The apps can be downloaded until the end of January 2012, and will be available to customers who purchased an Android phone during the Christmas period and existing T-Mobile customers who have upgraded to an Android handset.

Note that both the antiquated T-Mobile G1 and G2 are excluded from the deal. Users will need to text XMAS to 480004 in order to receive a link to get to the apps page. In addition, T-Mobile is also giving PAYG users up to six months free Internet usage worth £20.

The mobile phone operator, which is now part of Everything Everywhere, is focusing on the entry level market with better-than-average deals.

The cheapest Android handset on display is the T-Mobile Rapport which comes with Android Froyo, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and more.
