Facebook has reportedly acquired Gowalla, a location-based service. Even though the concerned parties have not confirmed anything yet but, the report by CNNMoney has ignited the rumour that there might be an official announcement soon.

According to a latest study, more Americans go online to pass their time as compared to the figures a couple of years ago. The study by Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project discovered that almost 53 per cent of young adults aged between 18 to 29 go on the web during any given day for nothing particular in mind but, for diversion or just pure fun.

UK telecom giant BT has increased the prices of its broadband, home phone services and TV channels just weeks before Christmas. The price hike, which has come into effect immediately, affects more than 10 million BT customers in the United Kingdom.
