Xbox news blog majornelson.com has published an article and screen shots relating to the Xbox 360 companion application for Microsoft Windows Phone 7 run handsets, which is set to be released on December 6th - alongside the actual Xbox 360 dashboard update.
Majornelson has noted that inside of a recent press release from Microsoft was the paragraph below that could have been overlooked, as it was buried deep inside the content noting the new Xbox 360 update.
The paragraph in the media announcement stated: ‘Starting Dec. 6, the free Xbox Companion app for Windows Phone will let you find, learn more about and control content from popular entertainment services on Xbox LIVE.'
The website goes on to note that the Xbox companion app will have some new features to use with the Xbox 360 including a search powered by Bing; searching the unified Xbox catalogue for movies, TV shows, music, games and apps using Windows phone; along with viewing a detailed results page across all content providers.
Our soon-to-be-merged mobile phone sister title OneMobileRing published a piece in October, surrounding the actual Windows Phone 7 Xbox Companion app being caught on video - here.
