The Acer Liquid S100 Android-based smartphone can now be had for as little as £129 including VAT and delivery from Moneysupermarket's local deals section.
The handset is unlocked and comes with a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a Qualcomm QSD8250 chipset clocked at 768MHz, 512MB RAM, GPS, a five megapixel camera with AF (but no flash) and Acer's own Spinlets technology and proprietary user interface.
There's also a 1350mAh battery that can power the handset for up to five hours, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MicroUSB and a microSD slot.
The handset runs on Android Donut, which is the first Android iteration, but should be upgradable to Froyo. It will face the likes of the ZTE Blade S, Acer's own Liquid Metal handset and the more expensive (but more capable) Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.
