Shoppers will be able to access free Wi-Fi facility in more than 200 Tesco Extra Stores spread all over the country.
On Monday, chief information officer at Tesco, Mike McNamara, stated that, "People are increasingly using a variety of digital services and we're excited by our customers' reaction to the new service," reported ZD Net.
The Wi-Fi service is to be powered by latest O2 Wi-Fi hotspots as confirmed by O2 spokesman.
As for the customers the Tesco Clubcard holders will be able to access the services by using their Clubcard number and these customers will enjoy unlimited services. Non-members will be able to access the services for 15 minutes every day.
The intial trials of this service started back in the month of January this year and ran till July in four Tesco Stores. A survey post this trial showed that the participant of the trial found that the service is "easy to use" and 82 per cent reported that they will definitely use the service again.
