Cisco, in a bid to enhance its hold on Cloud computing market, has dished out a new product, which it hopes will make it a complete provider of cloud computing solutions.
The company launched the CloudVerse platform that is a mix of hardware and software service solutions, will allow organisations to create public, private and hybrid cloud computing systems.
According to Cisco the platform was essentially a mix of Cisco's Unified Data Center, Cloud Intelligence Network and Cloud Applications and Service platforms, which when combined together, will allow companies to deploy and manage cloud computing platforms and apps in a much more easy and secure manner.
"Cisco and its broad ecosystem of partners deliver a comprehensive set of integrated solutions to accelerate cloud success and help realize the full value of clouds," Padmasree Warrior, the company's chief technology officer said in a blog post.
"Only Cisco CloudVerse brings together the intelligence of the network, the power of the data centre and the flexibility of applications to seamlessly weave traditional IT with private, public and hybrid clouds to securely deliver cloud services within, between and beyond the cloud," she added.
According to the company, the CloudVerse platform includes applications and services designed for the cloud, a unified data centre and a ‘cloud-intelligent' network.
