Reliable sources have revealed that the Verizon Wireless edition of Ice Cream Sandwich flagship, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, will be available for just $299 with contract. Samsung's latest smartphone will be launched by Verizon sometime in December - the exact date has not yet been confirmed.
Representatives of Verizon Wireless have not responded to any queries related to the release date. But, according to rumour, this new Android 4.0 device will be made available before the end of the current year.
Earlier this month a screenshot of the device was posted which showed a Galaxy Nexus listing in the Best Buy inventory system along with a starting date of December 11th. The screenshot, posted in Engadget, also mentioned the in-stock date is not the confirmed release date.
Galaxy Nexus entered the European market on November 17th - it is the first handset powered by Android 4.0 version, aka, Ice Cream Sandwich. The smartphone with 4G network connectivity has been termed a "big step forward for Android," as reported by CNET.
