Google is celebrating the 10 billion app downloads milestone by offering premium apps from 10 cents on the Android Market.
The celebration, now in its second day, provided a fresh new batch of 10 cent apps in the Market.
According to an article on Android Central, the new batch of apps has gone live, but has yet to appear on the landing page.
The premium Android apps, offered for 10 cents include Fruit Ninja, AirSync by DoubleTwist, Read It Later Pro, Beautiful Widgets, SwiftKey X and SketchBook Mobile, as reported by International Business Times.
Google announced the Android Market had achieved 10 billion app downloads and plans to celebrate the milestone for 10 days, offering premium apps at dirt cheap rates.
"One billion is a pretty big number by any measurement. However, when it's describing the speed at which something is growing, it's simply amazing. This past weekend, thanks to Android users around the world, Android Market exceeded 10 billion app downloads - with a growth rate of one billion app downloads per month," explained the Director, Android Developer Ecosystem, Eric Chu, in a blog post.
"We can't wait to see where this accelerating growth takes us in 2012," he added.
