On Wednesday, Logitech declared that their Google TV device named "Logitech Revue" will get Google's Honeycomb in the current week, which will eventually provide access to Android Market.
The Honeycomb version of the Android operating system will be made available through software updates. This news has been confirmed by Ashish Arora, Vice president and general manager of Logitech's digital home group through a blog post on the company's blog.
Arora wrote, "If you're already a Revue user, simply ensure your unit is turned on and connected to the Web, and accept the update that pops up onto your TV screen."
Arora mentioned what all will be included in the Honeycomb updates: "more entertainment choices such as access to Android Market; faster and more comprehensive search and browse capabilities; a simplified user interface, and improvements to the Logitech Media Player."
The blog post also confirmed that new customers will be receiving the latest version automatically when the device is activated.
With these updates subscribers will be able to access the new Google Music App and in fact, the Android Market will be having around 50 apps which are specially optimised for the HDTV and with time this number will rise, confirmed Arora.
