The Steve Jobs biography, written by Walter Isaacson, has become the best selling book on Amazon for 2011.
The book, simply titled ‘Steve Jobs', was released after the death of the iCon, who lost his battle to cancer.
What is interesting is that the book managed to top the Amazon best selling list for 2011 even after being released in late October, highlighting the popularity of the man who gave the world devices like the iPhone and iPad.
The book fell short of becoming the top ebook on Kindle, but it featured on the list nonetheless in the number 3 spot after John Grisham's ‘The Letigators'. The title of the best selling Kindle book went to ‘The Hunger Games", which has been adapted into a movie to be released in March 2012.
Massive sales of the biography were expected after the book sold 379,000 copies in the first week it was released on Amazon, as reported by the LA TImes.
The book, written by former Times director Walter Isaacson, is based on more than 40 interviews with Steve Jobs, his colleagues, friends, rivals and family members. It shows a side of Jobs that was hidden behind the massive success Apple's products have enjoyed.
