Huawei Blaze Now Costs £60 With Capacitive Display & Gingerbread!

Alongside ZTE, Huawei is another Chinese telecom company which is promising to make the handset market more interesting in 2012, offering much better value for money compared to more established brands.

Phones4U is offering one of its handsets, the Blaze, on Pay As You Go for only £59.95, with £10 free Christmas Top Up (although you do have to purchase an additional £10 airtime) and three months free Wi-Fi.

Aesthetically, the Blaze looks a lot like the HTC Wildfire with a similar screen size, colour scheme and specification (but less than half the price).

The smartphone comes with a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset clocked at 800MHz and 256MB RAM, not unlike the iPhone 3GS. There's also a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi and a 1200mAh battery that can power the phone for up to four hours. And Surprise, surprise, it even comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread (although an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich appears to be very unlikely).

Buy the Blaze - otherwise known as U8510 Ideos X3 - on T-Mobile and get £20 worth of apps before the 24th of December as well, as part of T-Mobile's Appy Christmas campaign.
