Even though online piracy and illegal sharing through file sharing sites like Megaupload are a matter of concern for Hollywood biggies, there are a few within the camp that feel otherwise.
In an effort to support and promote Megaupload known for moving data "in huge blocks across the web", popular artists like P. Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have lend their voices to create a song.
The song has been sung despite major recording companies have condemned the website over issues of piracy of songs and movies.
As a matter of fact, Universal Music Group (UMG), the owner of labels for whom Will.i.am, Diddy and Kanye West have sung, is trying to remove the video song from YouTube (see below) along with "a back and forth on copyright issues ensuing", reported TorrentFreak.
The song is not explicitly supporting piracy. Will.i.am in his part says "When I got to send files across the globe, I use Megaupload."
As it stands, the video has been removed from Vimeo and this round of the battle may have been won by UMG.
